In this book there are a group of short stories that I can't seem to get immersed in. This could be due to the language used or speaking voice. I feel like I'm looking from the outside. I skimmed the book as it was so predictable, with many corny, cringe-worthy scenes. The underlying story is fine, but the storytelling itself left a lot to be desired.On the plus side, minimal errors at least means it is fairly easy to read.
If I knew what I do now, I most likely wouldn't have purchased this book. It isn't worth it. I enjoyed the other (main series) but didn't enjoy this so didn't even finish reading all the stories. My biggest disappointment is the inconsistency with the language used to tell these stories and that the plot is so predictable. I've read so many similar stories that there needs to be a new way of telling that same plot, or something majority unique. Otherwise it gets pretty boring. Overall, it is ok. Room for improvement.

This was an awesome book. I love the characters involved and it had a great plot. I loved how AnKong was finally able to come with terms of his life and in the end everything worked out.
If you purchase this short story, be aware that it is only 29% of the book. Then it is the same story that the author is sticking at the end of all her short stories. The stories are not very good. They seem juvenile to me. I didn't recommend this author.
I have read the others in this series but miss this one. It is a really good read. Enjoy the stories of the Kalazaron race. Awesome stories. This one the story is well written and I love the characters
Ugh - I could have tried this with my unlimited program but opted to buy at $.99 instead. Big mistake! I couldn't make it past the first couple of chapters. The writing style was odd - stiff, awkward - changing form & pov mid-paragraph. The editing was lacking so much that sentences frequently made no sense so you had to guess what was intended. Additionally the overly aggressive male bully & the submissive woman who falls for his hot bod & domineering behavior is not my style. I've read that a high % of women prefer submissive roles in life & in sex - they must be the ones who love this series (& who can overlook the poor writing style). I didn't just stop reading - I deleted it.
Loved the story, but it's in need of a little proof-reading and editing. The last story in a short series of alien-human love stories on Kalazaron but it's only accounts for 35% of the whole book. There's two stories and the second, Kalazaeon Dalik, is a hot mess. Needs MAJOR editing and proofreading. I gave up two chapters because it was so distracting trying to figure out what the author was trying to say. Was it translated from another language? Was this the authors first attempt at trying to write fiction and she tossed it in to give the book more pages? Sex scenes were adolescent and stilted and VERY predictable.
